88 temples around the island of Shikoku.

Coming soon to iPhone Duo
Each app is one complete route, with its own guide, characters, collection and Apple Watch app. One purchase, no subscription.

88 temples around the island of Shikoku.

Mexico to Canada along the crest of the West.

Three historic roads to Santiago.

Georgia to Maine through the eastern forest.

Canterbury to Rome on the Via Francigena, with Sigeric, the archbishop who recorded the road in 990, as your guide.
The Pacific Crest, the Appalachian and the Continental Divide trails are the Triple Crown of American hiking, nearly 7,900 miles between them. Walk the first two today. The third is on its way.

No GPS, no workout to start, nothing to log.
To work, with the dog, on a treadmill. Every step counts.
The app reads your step count on your iPhone. Your health data never leaves it.
Your steps become distance on a map of the actual trail, stage by stage.
Temples, mountain passes, towns and wildlife open as you reach them, each written for that exact place and checked against primary sources.
Each route has its own collection, and it fills in only in the order you walk.

Plus 40 to 53 illustrated patches in every app, for distance, streaks and the seasons.
Invite friends and family into a group of up to 30 walkers, and see everyone on the same map.
Today’s steps, your stage and your next waypoint, without taking out your phone.

Unfold it and the trail opens up: the map on one side, your journey on the other. Fold it and you are back on the trail in your pocket.
Concept images. iPhone Duo support is in development.
Walk as a pilgrim, a naturalist, a Templar knight or a black bear. Every route has its own hand-drawn characters.
Yes. Each route is a separate app with its own content and collection, and each is a one-time purchase. None of them carry a subscription.
Sacred Steps: The Temple Path is the pilgrimage app: 88 temples, guided meditations, a stamp book. Nature Steps: The PCT is the hiking app: 2,653 miles and 102 species in the Field Journal. Both use the same step engine, so the second one you buy will work the way the first one did.
Yes. Each app reads the same step count from Apple Health, so one day of walking advances every app you have installed.
Apple Health supplies your daily step count. The app converts it to distance using your stride length and applies it to the route. There is no GPS tracking and no workout to start.
Yes. Your health data never leaves your device without explicit consent. Step data is read from Apple HealthKit and processed locally. We do not collect, store or transmit your health information. Optional iCloud sync goes to your own private iCloud account. Walking groups share only what the group shows: your name, avatar, progress and messages.
Not yet. The step engine, the Watch app and the Health integration are built on Apple frameworks. Android is planned after The Road to Rome is released.
History & Mystery Steps, scheduled for 2027. History Steps opens with the Silk Road. Mystery Steps applies the same engine to city routes through Paris, Venice, Tokyo and Beijing, with puzzles and historical content at waypoints.

Sacred Steps: Road to Rome is out. 2,202 kilometres from Canterbury Cathedral to St Peter’s, with Sigeric as your guide and a credential of 72 stamps.

One app, three shapes. The map beside the page, a tab bar that moves to the side, and onboarding that lines up in every pose.

Nature Steps: Appalachia is out. The oldest mountains in America, forests that change as you walk north, and 105 species in the Field Journal.
One email on release day. No newsletter, no promotions.
Android is planned next.
